Holocaust Survivor Israel Arbeiter Returns to Auschwitz in this short film from the World War II Foundation. Arbeiter’s parents and younger brother were killed at the Treblinka Death Camp. Izzy became a slave laborer for the Germans and spent 6 months at Auschwitz. There he saw unspeakable horrors. He returned with the World War II Foundation to document his story for the film A Promise to my Father. This is a short film chronicling the moment Izzy returned through the gates at Auschwitz-Birkenau Death Camp, this time without fear of being locked up inside and watching death unfold all around him. (Edited by Jim Karpeichik).
